Hi friends,
I have some quick housekeeping before I get to the Tarot Card of the Month. First, we would like to thank everyone who took a look at our brand new website and provided feedback. It’s been overwhelmingly positive which is really great to hear. We have also had some awesome suggestions on how to improve it. If you have any ideas, we’d love to hear them. Second, we have been busy creating new summer goth items so that you can look cool when it’s hot out. They are definitely worth checking out. Third, we’ve created a new hashtag for you to show us your awesome VM outfits. Use #vminthewild to show us your stuff! Now on to this month’s card!
The Sun
The Sun card is generally depicted as a naked baby riding a white horse under a giant sun. The sun represents the source of all life on earth. The baby represents joy and your inner child. The nudity represents openness and innocence. The white horse represents strength and purity.
The upright Sun is all about radiance, abundance, positivity, and fun. People can sense your positivity and warmth and it draws them to you. It’s the right time to share your accomplishments and qualities and to radiate who you are to the people around you. If you’re in a slump, the Sun is here to remind you that things will get better. Now is the time to be enthusiastic. The Sun also represents good luck, honesty and better communication.
The reversed Sun doesn’t necessarily have a negative connotation but it does mean that you’re looking at a situation with a filter of pessimism. It often shows up when you're letting a negative perspective taint a positive experience. It also means that your work-life balance is so out of whack that your career can make you feel trapped. Your inner child wants to come out to play and enjoy life but you’re too busy with boring adult work stuff to let it. If you have recently experienced setbacks you may feel that you’re heading down the wrong path. The Sun Card is here to remind you that it is only temporary. If you set your mind to it, you can figure out a way to remove the obstacles in your path.
How does this apply to you?
- Recognize and celebrate the good things in your life.
- Remember that everything is temporary and things will get better
- Practice good work/ life balance
